CiES Fuel System Now Syncs with Cirrus G3’s Garmin Perspective+ Avionics Upgrade

Legacy Cirrus G3 aircraft owners who are upgrading to the advanced Garmin Perspective+ avionics system can now benefit from integrated digital fuel monitoring. This is made possible by a new compatibility announcement from CiES Inc.

The company has confirmed that its digital fuel quantity systems are now fully compatible with the Garmin Perspective+ upgrade for G3 airframes. This compatibility marks a significant technological advancement for older Cirrus aircraft, which were originally equipped with traditional analog fuel senders that operated independently of the main avionics suite.

“This is not just a sender replacement,” said Scott Philiben, President of CiES. “It is an architectural move from standalone indication to integrated fuel awareness.”

The digital system communicates fuel levels directly to the Garmin Crew Alerting System. It also features a fail-evident design that detects and alerts pilots of internal sensor issues, rather than providing inaccurate readings.

All new Perspective+ Cirrus aircraft are delivered from the factory with CiES fuel senders installed. This same fuel quantity architecture is now available to legacy G3 owners upgrading their cockpits. The system meets FAA accuracy standards and is TSO-certified, which brings vintage G3 aircraft up to current production standards.
