Alpha Aviation has launched a new FAA-PMA certified Electric Fuel Transfer Pump specifically engineered to replace original pumps in vintage Grumman and Piper aircraft. The announcement, made on April 1, 2026, addresses a growing challenge for owners of legacy aircraft who face increasing difficulty and expense in sourcing original equipment components.
The newly introduced pump is designed as a direct replacement for Facet part number 478360 and several OEM equivalents. It offers a lower-cost alternative while maintaining expected performance standards for older fuel systems. The pump is compatible with several 14-volt Piper aircraft and various Grumman models, providing a plug-and-play solution that integrates with existing fuel systems without necessitating major modifications.
