Israeli eVTOL Pioneer, AIR, Surpasses $1 Billion in Orders

AIR, an Israeli smart aircraft developer, recently announced a significant achievement: surpassing $1 billion in orders. This milestone underscores the burgeoning potential of the personal electric aviation market. The company revealed that it currently has over 3,300 eager customers on a waiting list for its groundbreaking aircraft.

The company’s impressive order book includes 3,290 orders for the AIR ONE personal aircraft and over 25 orders for the AIR Cargo heavy-lift unmanned aircraft systems. The AIR ONE is a two-seater, fully electric eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing) aircraft. It’s designed for personal use and boasts a range of 100 miles, speeds up to 155 miles per hour, and a payload capacity of up to 550 pounds.

The aircraft integrates advanced safety features such as redundant safety layers, an airframe parachute system, and a simplified flight control system. This system is powered by AIR’s proprietary “Fly-By-Intent” technology. The AIR ONE has also earned official recognition within the FAA’s Light Sport Aircraft category under the MOSAIC framework.

AIR has already delivered two cargo aircraft and anticipates producing and delivering more than 20 units in 2026. The personal aircraft orders will be fulfilled following FAA certification and the commencement of production.
