NetJets Welcomes the Arrival of the World’s Speediest Business Jet
Private aviation leader, NetJets, has proudly taken delivery of the first Bombardier Global 8000 business jet, signifying a significant moment in the history of business aviation. The handover ceremony was held at the Bombardier’s Laurent Beaudoin Completion Centre in Montreal on March 26, 2026.
The Global 8000 is hailed as the fastest civil aircraft since the Concorde, boasting a top speed of Mach 0.95 (627 mph). It also impresses with a range of 8,000 nautical miles, allowing for nonstop flights lasting up to 16.75 hours. This groundbreaking performance makes previously unthinkable routes, such as Dubai to Houston or Singapore to Los Angeles, possible without refueling stops.
As the world’s leading private aviation operator and a Berkshire Hathaway company, NetJets intends to build a 24-aircraft fleet of the Global 8000. The company plans to upgrade its entire in-service Global 7500 fleet to the new Global 8000 standard. The aircraft features a unique four-zone cabin layout with the lowest cabin altitude in business aviation at just 2,691 feet while cruising at 41,000 feet, significantly reducing passenger fatigue.
“The Global 8000 is redefining the business aviation landscape with its unmatched performance, signature smooth ride and innovative design,” said Éric Martel, President and CEO of Bombardier.
