Vermont State University Announces Infinity Flight Group as New Flight Training Partner
Vermont State University has chosen Infinity Flight Group (IFG) as its new flight training partner. This partnership signifies a major shift in Vermont’s aviation education, as IFG takes over the professional pilot program at Patrick Leahy Burlington International Airport (KBTV) from Vermont Flight Academy.
Infinity Flight Group, one of the largest privately owned flight schools on the East Coast of the United States, is set to commence non-university flight training operations in summer 2026. The student training for Vermont State University is slated to begin at the onset of the Fall 2026 semester. This collaboration brings additional resources and broadened opportunities for students aiming for professional pilot careers.
IFG will not only provide collegiate and career-focused training but will also continue to offer flight instruction to the public. This move supports private and recreational pilots within Vermont’s general aviation community. Chris Weinberg, Board President at Vermont Flight Academy, expressed that “this transition positions flight training in the Burlington area for long-term success.”
