AI Medical Pioneer Doctronic Secures $40M in Series B Funding
Doctronic, a trailblazer in AI healthcare, has made headlines as the first AI system legally authorized to practice medicine in the United States. On March 24, 2026, the company announced a successful Series B funding round, raising a substantial $40 million. This round was co-led by Abstract and Lightspeed Venture Partners, bringing the New York-based company’s total funding to an impressive $65 million across three rounds in less than a year.
The AI-powered telemedicine platform has seen phenomenal growth. Since its Series A in September 2025, the company has reported a 15x revenue growth leading to eight-figure annualized revenue. Currently, Doctronic serves over 300,000 unique weekly visitors and has facilitated more than 15 million medical conversations. The platform, which operates in compliance with HIPAA, is available 24/7. It autonomously makes clinical decisions and connects patients to licensed physicians via video visits for a nominal $39 fee.
In January 2026, Utah gave Doctronic the green light to become the first AI platform to legally renew prescriptions for patients with chronic conditions through the state’s AI Learning Lab regulatory sandbox. The company is now in discussions with regulators in other states to expand these capabilities. The fresh capital will support expansion into pediatrics and partnerships with hospital systems, payers, and digital health platforms. “Health systems see us as infrastructure, the digital front door that routes their patients efficiently,” said Matt Pavelle, Co-CEO of Doctronic.
