Cirrus Aircraft Launches G3 Vision Jet: Enhanced Seating and ATC Datalink

Cirrus Aircraft unveiled the Generation 3 Vision Jet in February 2026. This latest model boasts a reimagined interior with seating for six adults, ATC Datalink capabilities, and over 30 refinements to the popular single-engine personal jet.

The G3 Vision Jet marks the third evolution of the world’s first single-engine personal jet. It features controller-pilot data link communications (CPDLC), enabling pilots to receive automated clearances, flight plan updates, and frequency changes via text message directly on the Garmin G3000 avionics system. This advanced technology significantly reduces pilot workload and minimizes communication errors.

Interior enhancements include a redesigned cabin with a new bench seat configuration that comfortably accommodates six adults. This is a significant change from the previous five-adult-plus-two-children arrangement. The exterior showcases landing lights that are 2.7 times brighter than previous models, new black deicing boots for improved ice visibility, and the distinctive Cirrus halo lights.

With a price tag of $3.68 million, the G3 Vision Jet retains the same Williams FJ33 engine and 31,000-foot service ceiling as its predecessors. Cirrus CEO Zean Nielsen confirmed that customer deliveries began in late February 2026. He emphasized that the aircraft represents a “continued investment in personal aviation.”

Since its introduction in 2016, more than 700 Vision Jets have been delivered worldwide, making it the best-selling jet in general aviation.
