Post-Aesthetic Procedure Skincare: A Rising Trend in Beauty Industry
The skincare industry is witnessing a significant shift with the rise of post-aesthetic procedure care. This segment is rapidly becoming one of the most dynamic in the beauty industry, as revealed at the in-cosmetics Global 2026 event in Paris. IMCD, a leading global distributor of specialty chemicals and ingredients, introduced seven innovative formulations. These products are specifically designed to aid skin recovery following cosmetic treatments.
This trend is a reflection of the explosive growth in aesthetic procedures worldwide. Spate, a market intelligence firm, reports that nearly 38 million treatments were performed globally in 2024. This represents a staggering 42.5% increase since 2020. By February 2026, the hashtag #FirstTimeBotox on TikTok had peaked at over 477,000 weekly views, indicating a mainstream consumer interest in aesthetic treatments.
“Post-procedure skincare is shifting from a niche concern to a mainstream opportunity,” explains Irene Cantos, Global Director of IMCD Beauty & Personal Care. “Consumers are more informed, more proactive, and they want products that genuinely support their results, not just soothe them in the short term.”
The new Aestheticae Curae kit includes seven formulations that cover skincare, hair care, and color cosmetics. These range from soothing anti-inflammatory creams for use after facial procedures to plumping lipsticks designed for post-filler application. This innovation marks a fundamental shift in how the beauty industry approaches the convergence of skincare and aesthetic medicine.
