Hilton’s Strategic Expansion: 125 New Hampton Hotels in India by 2035

Hilton has recently announced a landmark strategic agreement with Regenta Hotels Private Limited, a subsidiary of Royal Orchid Hotels. This partnership aims to develop 125 Hampton by Hilton hotels across India. The deal, signed on April 8, 2026, marks a significant milestone in Hilton’s expansion within the country’s upper midscale hospitality segment.

The new Hampton by Hilton hotels will be primarily developed across western and southern India. Key locations include:

  • Goa
  • Maharashtra
  • Karnataka
  • Tamil Nadu
  • Andhra Pradesh
  • Telangana

This partnership accelerates Hilton’s growth strategy in India. The rising domestic travel and increasing demand from the country’s expanding middle class are driving strong opportunities in the mid-market segment.

Alan Watts, President of Asia Pacific at Hilton, stated that India’s economic growth, expanding middle class, and rapid infrastructure development are reshaping the country’s travel landscape. This agreement marks Hilton’s third such strategic partnership in India, demonstrating the company’s commitment to working with established local operators to scale its franchise footprint rapidly. Hampton by Hilton currently operates more than 3,100 properties worldwide and has been recognized as the #1 lodging franchise by Entrepreneur for 17 consecutive years.
