Hilton Inks Monumental 125-Hotel Deal to Revolutionize Indian Tourism
Hilton has recently unveiled a groundbreaking partnership with Royal Orchid Hotels. The ambitious plan is to develop 125 Hampton by Hilton hotels across India by 2035. This marks one of the most significant hospitality expansion deals in the nation’s history. The agreement, inked on April 8, 2026, is set to tap into India’s burgeoning midscale travel market. This growth is fuelled by the country’s expanding middle class and a surge in domestic tourism.
The franchised hotels will primarily be developed across western and southern India. The focus will be on popular destinations such as:
- Goa
- Maharashtra
- Karnataka
- Tamil Nadu
- Andhra Pradesh
- Telangana
This strategic partnership signifies Hilton’s third such agreement in India, propelling the company’s franchise footprint in emerging Indian cities and commercial hubs.
“India’s economic growth, expanding middle class, and rapid infrastructure development are reshaping the country’s travel landscape, creating significant opportunities for our brands,” said Alan Watts, president of Asia Pacific at Hilton. The Hampton by Hilton brand, already boasting more than 3,100 properties globally, is set to bring its signature amenities to underserved markets across India. These include free hot breakfast, reliable Wi-Fi, and quality service.
