American Express Announces Major Expansion of Centurion Lounge Network Across US Airports

American Express has recently announced a significant expansion of its premium Centurion Lounge network on April 6-7, 2026. The expansion includes new locations planned at Boston Logan International Airport and Charlotte Douglas International Airport, along with a major renovation at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. This expansion is a reflection of the growing demand for premium airport experiences among travelers.

The Boston Logan location, expected to open in 2029, will be among the largest Centurion Lounges in the network. It will span two stories and feature an outdoor terrace—a rare amenity in airport lounges. On the other hand, at Charlotte Douglas, a new concept called “Sidecar by The Centurion Lounge” is set to open in 2027. This concept is designed for travelers with tight schedules who want quick access to premium amenities through QR code ordering.

The expansion at Dallas-Fort Worth, slated for completion in 2027, will increase the existing lounge size by 50 percent. The new additions will include more seating, a new dining area, a second full-service bar, and even a walk-up ice cream window. The redesign will incorporate desert tones and modern design elements.

“American Express has long been at the forefront of the airport lounge experience, and we continue to build on that legacy and raise the bar as we grow our network,” said Audrey Hendley, president of American Express Travel. All lounges will feature menus developed by James Beard Award-winning chefs and curated cocktail programs.
