AVIATEK Group Boosts Fleet with First Tecnam P2006T NG in Colombia

Tecnam recently unveiled a substantial fleet expansion for the Colombian aviation and technology company, AVIATEK Group. This expansion heralds the introduction of the first next-generation P2006T NG aircraft to Colombia, specifically for special mission operations.

AVIATEK Group is set to acquire two new Tecnam P2006T NG Special Mission Platform (SMP) aircraft, bolstering its global operational footprint. The first aircraft is primed to kickstart the company’s European operations under its Polish sister organization, EKOLOT. Meanwhile, a second P2006T NG SMP was slated for delivery in late March 2026, with direct shipment to Colombia.

This landmark delivery brings the very first P2006T NG to Colombia, with a specific mandate to support the extensive special mission contracts that AVIATEK holds throughout the Latin American region. The aircraft will be deployed for a variety of tasks, including:

  • Aerial surveillance
  • Environmental monitoring
  • Risk management
  • Disaster response
  • Humanitarian operations

The Tecnam P2006T NG SMP is equipped with twin fuel-injected Rotax 912iSc3 engines, ensuring low fuel consumption. It also boasts an increased maximum take-off weight for greater payload capacity. Furthermore, the aircraft arrives mission-ready, with the ability to adapt to a wide range of complex configurations. All this while maintaining extraordinarily low operating costs compared to larger twin-engine alternatives.
