Brussels Airlines Takes Premium Economy to New Heights with Business Class Features

Brussels Airlines is set to significantly enhance its Premium Economy class on long-haul flights, with upgrades commencing from mid-March 2026. The Lufthansa Group carrier is making a substantial investment in passenger experience across all cabins, with Premium Economy reaping the most significant upgrades.

From mid-March onwards, Premium Economy passengers will be treated to meals served on premium chinaware with steel cutlery and elegant napkins—amenities typically exclusive to Business Class. The airline has also expanded its main course options from two to three hot meal choices, improved starters, and enhanced pre-landing meals. Additionally, passengers will receive printed menu cards and upgraded headphones for a superior inflight entertainment experience.

Meanwhile, Business Class passengers departing from Brussels will now enjoy culinary masterpieces crafted by double Michelin-starred chef Glen Verhasselt from the renowned restaurant, Sir Kwinten. Flights originating from African destinations will feature African-inspired dishes served on redesigned premium tableware. Even Economy Class passengers will benefit from additional food components on meal trays and reusable premium cups for beverages on both short and long-haul flights.

These enhancements are part of wider initiatives that include the rollout of free Starlink Wi-Fi across the fleet throughout 2026, new long-haul cabin designs, and the renovation of THE LOFT lounge at Brussels Airport, which is set to reopen in the summer of 2026.
