NetJets Welcomes the Arrival of the World’s Speediest Business Jet
Bombardier has delivered the first Global 8000 aircraft to NetJets, marking a significant milestone in business aviation. The delivery took place on March 26, 2026, at Bombardier’s Laurent Beaudoin Completion Centre in Montreal, witnessed by a large crowd of employees and special guests.
The Global 8000 is hailed as the fastest civil aircraft since the Concorde, boasting a top speed of Mach 0.95 (627 mph) and an impressive range of 8,000 nautical miles (16.75 hours). This allows for nonstop travel between more city pairs than ever before, such as Dubai to Houston or Singapore to Los Angeles. The aircraft features the lowest cabin altitude in business aviation production at just 2,691 feet, ensuring passengers arrive feeling refreshed and ready to perform.
NetJets has plans to build a 24-strong fleet of Global 8000 aircraft and will collaborate with Bombardier to upgrade its entire in-service Global 7500 fleet to Global 8000 jets. Patrick Gallagher, President of NetJets Aviation, stated, “the range and features of the Global 8000 aircraft perfectly align with NetJets’ commitment to offering safety, service, and access at an extraordinary level.”
