Qatar Airways Announces Limited Flight Schedule Amidst Airspace Closure

Qatar Airways has recently announced a revised, limited flight schedule to be operated from March 18-28, 2026. This comes in response to the ongoing disruptions caused by the closure of Qatari airspace. As a result, the carrier’s scheduled operations remain temporarily suspended, significantly limiting the number of flights it can operate.

The limited service aims to connect Doha with numerous destinations across various regions including:

  • Africa
  • Europe
  • Asia
  • The Middle East
  • North and South America
  • The Asia Pacific region

The airline is prioritizing high-demand routes linking Doha with major international hubs to move the largest possible number of affected passengers. Qatar Airways emphasized it is doing its utmost to reunite passengers with family and loved ones during this challenging period.

Passengers holding confirmed bookings with travel dates between February 28 and March 28, 2026, are eligible for two complimentary date changes to new travel dates up to April 30, 2026, when rebooking on Qatar Airways flights, or a refund of unused ticket value. The airline will resume full operations once the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority announces the safe reopening of Qatari airspace.

Travelers are advised not to arrive at airports unless they hold valid, confirmed tickets, and to monitor the Qatar Airways website or mobile app for the latest updates.
