Nvidia’s GTC 2026: A Pioneering Leap into AI’s Future

Nvidia’s GPU Technology Conference (GTC) 2026 is set to commence on Monday, March 16, in San Jose, California. The spotlight will be on CEO Jensen Huang, who is expected to deliver a keynote that could be a game-changer in the AI industry this year.

Over 30,000 attendees from more than 190 countries will converge to delve into the latest advancements in physical AI, agentic AI, inference, and AI factories. Huang will ascend the stage at SAP Center at 11 a.m. PT to unveil Nvidia’s cutting-edge progress across the full AI stack, from accelerated compute and AI factories to open models and physical AI.

In a recent interview, Huang hinted at the unveiling of “a chip that will surprise the world” at the conference. While Nvidia has remained tight-lipped about the product category this refers to, industry conjecture points towards announcements related to the company’s next-generation Rubin platform, potential inference-focused chips leveraging technology from Groq (which Nvidia reportedly paid $20 billion to license), and advances in Nvidia’s NemoClaw open-source AI agent platform for enterprises.

The conference is a testament to Nvidia’s strategy to position AI as an essential infrastructure spanning five layers: energy, chips, infrastructure, models, and applications. With Nvidia at the helm, connecting most layers together, the company maintains an estimated 80% market share in AI training chips and is making inroads into the inference market.

Notable speakers throughout the four-day event include Perplexity CEO Aravind Srinivas, LangChain CEO Harrison Chase, Mistral AI CEO Arthur Mensch, and leaders from Meta, Google, Microsoft, and Amazon Web Services. The keynote will be livestreamed free at nvidia.com with no registration required.
