CubCrafters Appoints Ladd Klinglesmith as New Southwest Sales Center Manager

CubCrafters has appointed Ladd Klinglesmith of Four Corners Cubs as its Certified Sales Center (CSC) manager for the Southwest region. He will be overseeing aircraft sales in Arizona, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico.

Klinglesmith brings over four decades of diverse aviation experience to the role. He has extensive hands-on knowledge with all CubCrafters aircraft models. He holds both CFI-I and A&P mechanic ratings and has several jet type ratings. His flying background includes:

  • Agricultural aviation
  • Air ambulance operations
  • Corporate jet experience

This appointment follows the retirement of longtime CubCrafters dealer Rick Bosshardt. Bosshardt served the aviation community in the Southwest region for 12 years. Klinglesmith will now manage new, pre-owned, and kit aircraft sales for the backcountry aircraft manufacturer.

“As a natural addition to our dealer team, we’re pleased to welcome Ladd Klinglesmith—his experience and deep roots with CubCrafters and in backcountry aviation make him an ideal fit to serve both new and existing customers in the Southwest,” said Brad Damm, vice president of CubCrafters.

Operating from a private airstrip near Grand Junction, Colorado, Klinglesmith currently has a Carbon Cub UL available for demonstration flights. He plans to add either a Carbon Cub FX-3 or XCub to his demo fleet. He has built a Carbon Cub EX-3 and brings comprehensive expertise across sales, training, and aircraft maintenance, including Rotax-certified maintenance support.
