Introducing the MacBook Neo: Apple’s Groundbreaking $599 Laptop with iPhone Chip
Apple has recently unveiled the MacBook Neo, a revolutionary laptop that’s the first of its kind to incorporate an iPhone chip. With a starting price of just $599, this is the most affordable laptop ever released by Apple.
The MacBook Neo boasts a 13-inch Liquid Retina display and is powered by the A18 Pro chip, the same processor found in the iPhone 16 Pro. According to Apple, the device outperforms the bestselling PC equipped with Intel’s latest Core Ultra 5 processor by up to 50% for everyday tasks, and up to 3x faster for on-device AI workloads. Furthermore, the laptop can deliver up to 16 hours of battery life on a single charge.
Available in a vibrant palette of Silver, Blush, Citrus, and Indigo, the MacBook Neo offers two configurations: a 256GB base model and a 512GB version with Touch ID. The device is equipped with Apple’s Magic Keyboard, a large Multi-Touch trackpad, dual USB-C ports, a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, and dual side-firing speakers with Spatial Audio support.
Pre-orders for the MacBook Neo started on March 4, 2026, with shipping delays already surfacing for popular configurations. The MacBook Neo is set to officially launch on March 11, 2026, and will be available at Apple Stores and select retailers.
