Disney Adventure: The Largest Disney Cruise Line Ship, Makes its Debut in Singapore
Disney Cruise Line officially christened its newest and largest ship, the Disney Adventure, on March 4, 2026. This historic event took place in Singapore, marking a significant milestone as the company’s first vessel to homeport in Asia. Hollywood actor and Marvel star, Robert Downey Jr., played a special role as the ship’s godparent during the elegant ceremony held aboard the vessel at Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore.
The Disney Adventure, a 208,000-gross-ton, 1,122-foot ship, made its grand arrival in Singapore on March 3, 2026. The ship was welcomed with a spectacular water cannon salute and a fireworks display. With a capacity to accommodate 6,700 passengers and 2,500 crew members, the Disney Adventure is the eighth ship in Disney Cruise Line’s fleet. It is set to operate three- and four-night itineraries exclusively at sea from Singapore.
“As our first ship to homeport in Asia, the Disney Adventure represents a new chapter for Disney Cruise Line,” said Josh D’Amaro, chairman of Disney Experiences. The ship boasts seven themed areas, including Marvel Landing and San Fransokyo Street, along with Disney Cruise Line’s first roller coaster at sea, the Ironcycle Test Run. The vessel embarks on its maiden voyage on March 10, 2026, and will remain based in Singapore for five years.
