Disney Adventure Sets Sail in Singapore: A New Chapter for Disney Cruise Line in Asia

Disney Cruise Line celebrated a historic milestone on March 4, 2026, with the christening of Disney Adventure in Singapore. This marked the company’s first-ever ship to be homeported in Southeast Asia. The ceremony featured Hollywood star Robert Downey Jr. as the ship’s godparent, who delivered the ceremonial blessing in a spectacular celebration at the Walt Disney Theatre aboard the vessel.

Disney Adventure is the eighth and largest ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, boasting a capacity for approximately 6,700 passengers and 2,500 crew members. The vessel features seven uniquely themed areas inspired by Disney, Pixar, and Marvel stories, including San Fransokyo Street from Big Hero 6. In a first for Disney Cruise Line, the ship includes Ironcycle Test Run, the company’s inaugural roller coaster at sea.

“As our first ship to homeport in Asia, the Disney Adventure represents a new chapter for Disney Cruise Line and will introduce Disney to audiences who may be experiencing our magic for the very first time,” said Josh D’Amaro, chairman of Disney Experiences and incoming CEO of The Walt Disney Company.

The ship will embark on its maiden voyage on March 10, 2026, offering three- and four-night sailings entirely at sea from Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore. The deployment is part of Disney Cruise Line’s multi-year expansion, with the fleet expected to grow to 13 ships by 2031.

Disney’s cruises are already 80% booked for fiscal 2026, demonstrating strong demand for the company’s expansion into the Asian market.
