Radisson RED Makes Its Grand Debut in Auckland, New Zealand

Auckland, New Zealand – Marking a significant milestone in both the brand’s Australasian expansion and New Zealand’s burgeoning hospitality sector, Radisson Hotel Group proudly announces the official opening of its first property in New Zealand – Radisson RED Auckland. Nestled in the city’s vibrant Arts District, this 322-room hotel is set to redefine luxury and comfort.

Strategically located at 33 Lorne Street in central Auckland, this design-led hotel boasts the country’s largest outdoor rooftop space. It offers breathtaking views of the iconic Sky Tower and is home to a soon-to-open rooftop restaurant and bar. With a capacity to accommodate up to 219 guests, this rooftop destination is poised to become one of Auckland’s premier social hotspots.

“Radisson RED thrives in cities fueled by creativity, culture, and community, and Auckland captures that spirit perfectly,” said Tim Cordon, Chief Operating Officer for MEA & SEAP at Radisson Hotel Group. The hotel channels the theatrical energy of Auckland’s Arts District with corridor lighting that mimics stage spotlights and lounge seating inspired by opera boxes.

Standing out as one of Auckland’s few pet-friendly hotels, Radisson RED Auckland warmly welcomes four-legged companions. The property features an all-day dining venue, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and flexible event spaces. Higher-floor rooms offer mesmerizing skyline views, while the Suite Panorama presents stunning vistas of Auckland City, Albert Park, and the harbor. In line with this opening, Radisson Hotel Group has also confirmed plans for a second RED location in Queenstown, with construction set to commence shortly.
