Samsung Launches Galaxy S26 Series Featuring Innovative Privacy Display

Samsung officially unveiled its eagerly awaited Galaxy S26 series at the Galaxy Unpacked event in San Francisco on February 25, 2026. The series includes three flagship models: the Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra. These devices will hit the market on March 11, 2026.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra stands out with its groundbreaking Privacy Display technology. This feature uses a “Black Matrix” to restrict viewing angles, not just for the entire screen, but also for specific apps and notification areas. It can be automatically activated when entering passwords or receiving notifications, providing an effective solution to shoulder surfing in public spaces.

The S26 series also boasts enhanced camera capabilities, including improved zoom and low-light video performance. The S26 Ultra is equipped with a 50MP periscope telephoto with 5x optical zoom and a 10MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom. All models are powered by either the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor or Samsung’s Exynos 2600 chipset, depending on the region.

The base Galaxy S26 is now priced at $899, while the S26 Plus comes with a price tag of $1,099, marking a $100 price increase over the previous models.
