The data, which brings beauty and wellness insights together for the first time, shows a compelling 84 percent of consumers believe they look better when they feel well.

Grace Vernon, Head of Boots Ignite, Foresight & Trends at Boots UK, stated that beauty and wellness discussions have become inseparable in 2026. “The boundaries between looking good and feeling good are not just blurring but dissolving entirely,” Vernon explained.

The report emphasizes that consumers are becoming increasingly educated, informed, and curious about what actually works for them.

Emerging Technologies and Wellness

Emerging technologies are increasingly shaping beauty and wellbeing routines. Wearable wellness technology and beauty tech innovations are gaining wider adoption. The report also notes a striking 755 percent surge in online searches for electrolytes, indicating growing interest in everyday wellness solutions.

Focus on Stress Regulation

Stress regulation is becoming a prominent focus, with purchases of adaptogen products increasing 400 percent year-on-year. Consumers are incorporating ingredients such as ashwagandha and ginseng into their routines to support mental and physical resilience.
