Porter Airlines Expands U.S. Network with New Austin Service
Porter Airlines has announced a significant expansion of its North American network, adding Austin, Texas as a new year-round destination starting May 21, 2026. The Canadian carrier will operate five weekly nonstop flights between Toronto Pearson International Airport and Austin-Bergstrom International Airport using the modern Embraer E195-E2 aircraft.
This marks Porter’s first service to Texas and represents a strategic move to strengthen connections between two vibrant, growing cities. “Austin and Toronto are both exciting, thriving cities that complement each other perfectly,” said Andrew Pierce, Vice President of Network Planning and Reporting at Porter Airlines.
In addition to the Austin launch, Porter is making other strategic moves:
- Relocating its Chicago operations from Midway to O’Hare International Airport starting September 1, 2026, providing passengers with improved connectivity and more frequent flights.
- Introducing seasonal service between Ottawa and Deer Lake, Newfoundland beginning June 10, 2026.
All Porter flights feature:
- No middle seats
- Complimentary wine and beer served in glassware
- Premium snacks
- Free high-speed Wi-Fi on E195-E2 aircraft
These features distinguish the carrier’s premium economy experience in the North American market.
