Record-Breaking $35.7B in Billings for General Aviation Industry in 2025
The general aviation manufacturing industry celebrated the end of 2025 with a groundbreaking $35.7 billion in billings, marking a 14.6% increase from 2024. This significant growth was primarily fueled by a surge in business jet deliveries, as announced by the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) on February 18, 2026.
Leading the growth were business jet shipments, which saw an impressive 11.8% jump to 854 units in 2025, up from 764 aircraft in 2024. Total airplane billings also experienced a notable rise, climbing 16.1% to reach $31 billion. This was as a result of manufacturers delivering 3,230 aircraft, a 2.2% increase year-over-year.
“The state of the general aviation manufacturing industry remains steadfast,” stated GAMA President and CEO James Viola. He further highlighted that the billings figure represents “the highest it has ever been.” Viola emphasized that even segments showing delivery declines remained above 2019 pre-pandemic levels.
Despite the overall growth, turboprop deliveries experienced a slight dip of 5.1% to 594 units, while rotorcraft shipments fell by 1.9% to 938 helicopters. However, helicopter billings still managed to rise to $4.7 billion, marking a 5.5% increase from 2024.
Geographically, North America accounted for 64.9% of business jet deliveries, with Latin America emerging as the third-largest market at 11%, up from just 5% in 2024.
