Anthropic Skyrockets to $380B Valuation Following Monumental $30B Funding Round
Artificial intelligence titan, Anthropic, announced on February 12, 2026, the successful completion of an astounding $30 billion funding round. This round catapulted the company’s post-money valuation to a whopping $380 billion, more than doubling its September 2025 valuation. This monumental event marks the second-largest venture funding deal in history, second only to its rival OpenAI’s $40 billion raise in 2025.
The Series G funding round was spearheaded by Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund GIC and Coatue Management. Major tech giants, including Nvidia Corporation and Microsoft Corporation, also participated in this round. Additionally, this round incorporated a segment of the previously announced $15 billion investment commitment from Nvidia and Microsoft in November 2025.
Anthropic, the creator of the innovative Claude chatbot and AI coding assistant, reported a surge in its run-rate revenue to over $14 billion. This represents an impressive more than 10x annual growth rate over the past three years. The company’s flagship coding tool, Claude Code, which was made available to the public in May 2025, now generates $2.5 billion in run-rate revenue on its own. The number of customers spending over $100,000 annually on Claude products has increased sevenfold in the past year. Furthermore, those spending over $1 million annually grew from a mere dozen to 500 in the past two years.
According to Anthropic’s Chief Financial Officer, Krishna Rao, approximately 80% of the company’s business comes from enterprises. The newly acquired capital will bolster infrastructure expansion, ongoing frontier research, and the development of enterprise-grade products. Anthropic now stands as the third most valuable private firm globally, trailing behind OpenAI (valued at $500 billion) and SpaceX, which recently merged with Elon Musk’s AI startup xAI.
