Bombardier Lands a Whopping $1.2B Order for 40 Private Jets from Vista Global
Bombardier Inc., the renowned Canadian aircraft manufacturer, has bagged a substantial order worth $1.18 billion. The order, placed by Dubai’s Vista Global Holding Ltd., one of the largest private aviation operators globally, is for 40 Challenger 3500 business jets.
The announcement of this deal was made on February 11, 2026. It also includes options for an additional 120 aircraft, potentially escalating the total value to an estimated $4.72 billion. The deliveries are set to commence immediately in 2026 and will be spread over the forthcoming 10 years, in line with Vista’s fleet expansion strategy.
The Challenger 3500 is a luxury variant of Bombardier’s widely acclaimed Challenger 350 business jet. It can accommodate up to 10 passengers and boasts a range of 3,400 nautical miles (6,300 km). The aircraft is equipped with advanced avionics and innovative cabin features. Since its introduction in 2022, it has become the fastest-selling business jet to reach 100 orders.
“This agreement is about leadership, preparedness, and client experience,” stated Thomas Flohr, Founder and Chairman of Vista Global. “We are continuing to build the fleet our members will rely on over the next decade.”
The deal comes at a time when the demand for private aviation is on the rise. According to industry data, business jet flights saw a nearly 5% year-over-year increase in 2025, setting a new record with 3.88 million global trips. Bombardier, which witnessed an 11% surge in third-quarter revenue last year, is contemplating increasing the production of private jets to cater to the growing demand.
