Anthropic’s Valuation Skyrockets to $380B Following Monumental $30B Funding Round
Anthropic, a leading artificial intelligence company, recently announced the successful completion of a staggering $30 billion funding round. This has catapulted the company’s post-money valuation to an impressive $380 billion, more than doubling its worth in a mere five-month span. The funding round was spearheaded by Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund GIC and U.S.-based investment firm Coatue, with significant contributions from tech giants Microsoft and Nvidia.
Based in San Francisco, Anthropic is the proud creator of the Claude chatbot. The company reported a meteoric rise in its annualized revenue, which now stands at $14 billion. This is a remarkable leap from its first dollar in revenue earned less than three years ago. This funding round represents the second-largest private tech financing round in history, falling just short of rival OpenAI’s $40 billion raise in the previous year.
The funding round incorporated parts of previously announced investments from Microsoft and Nvidia. These tech behemoths pledged up to $5 billion and $10 billion respectively in November 2025. Anthropic, established by former OpenAI employees in 2021, has carved out a niche for itself as a forerunner in the enterprise AI sector. Its coding tool, Claude Code, is a significant revenue generator, contributing $2.5 billion to the annualized revenue.
Industry pundits now rank Anthropic as the third most valuable private company worldwide. It trails behind OpenAI, valued at $500 billion, and SpaceX. There is widespread speculation that Anthropic could be among the top contenders for a potential IPO in 2026.
