Shilla Hotels & Resorts Debuts in China with a Luxurious Property in Historic Xi’an

The Shilla Hotels & Resorts, a leading luxury hospitality brand in South Korea and an affiliate of Samsung Group, proudly announced the grand opening of Shilla Monogram Xi’an on February 2, 2026. This marks the company’s first direct foray into the Chinese market.

The 264-room luxury hotel is nestled in Xi’an’s High-Tech Industrial Development Zone. It is the third Shilla Monogram property globally, following successful launches in Da Nang, Vietnam, and Gangneung, South Korea. The 22-story property encapsulates the concept of “Where Heritage Meets Modern Sophistication”. It harmoniously blends Xi’an’s 3,000-year history as the cradle of Chinese civilization with a contemporary luxury design inspired by the city’s renowned terracotta warriors.

The hotel boasts three unique restaurants:

  • Lahyang – Xi’an’s only hotel-based Korean restaurant that specializes in premium grilled cuisine.
  • Ziwei – Offers Cantonese dishes infused with regional Shaanxi flavors.
  • Dining M – An all-day venue with a focus on Korean cuisine.

Additional amenities include the Monogram Lounge on the 22nd floor, an infinity pool, a fitness center, and comprehensive meeting facilities.

Xi’an, a city rich in UNESCO World Heritage sites like the Terracotta Army and the starting point of the ancient Silk Road, attracts both cultural tourists and business travelers. Hotel Shilla aims to leverage this entry as a strategic stepping stone for expansion across Greater China, with additional properties planned in Yancheng, China, and Hanoi, Vietnam.
