Emirates Expands Southeast Asia Operations with Additional Flights to Manila

Emirates is set to expand its Southeast Asia operations with the addition of four weekly flights between Dubai and Manila, starting from April 2, 2026. The new services, which will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, will increase the airline’s total weekly flights on the route from 28 to 32.

This expansion aims to enhance travel options for residents, overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), and business travelers between the UAE and the Philippines. With these additional flights, passengers can look forward to shorter connection times to destinations in Canada, the United States, and several European cities including Milan, London, Budapest, and Athens via Dubai.

The flights will be operated by the Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, featuring eight First Class suites, 42 Business Class seats, and 304 Economy seats. Additionally, each aircraft can carry up to 20 tonnes of cargo, thereby boosting trade capacity between the Philippines, Europe, the US, and the Indian subcontinent.

This announcement comes on the heels of the recent signing of a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between the UAE and the Philippines, which is aimed at bolstering bilateral trade and economic cooperation. Emirates, which has been serving Manila since 1990, has also recently opened its first Emirates World Store in Southeast Asia in central Manila.
