OpenAI and ServiceNow Forge a Multi-Year AI Partnership
ServiceNow and OpenAI have unveiled a significant strategic alliance on January 20, 2026, aimed at expediting the rollout of AI agents across global businesses. In this multi-year contract, OpenAI will act as a preferred intelligence provider, integrating its cutting-edge models, including GPT-5.2, directly into the ServiceNow AI Platform.
This collaboration will empower ServiceNow to develop direct speech-to-speech and native voice technology using OpenAI models. This breakthrough will overcome language barriers and facilitate more natural interactions. Users will be able to converse in their preferred language and receive immediate responses from AI agents. These agents can open cases, initiate approvals, and orchestrate subsequent steps without any translation delay.
“ServiceNow is building the future of AI experiences: deploying AI that takes end-to-end action in complex enterprise environments,” stated Amit Zavery, President, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Product Officer at ServiceNow.
The agreement paves the way for deep collaboration between OpenAI technical advisors and ServiceNow engineers. This synergy provides enterprise customers with direct access to frontier capabilities and custom AI solutions at an increased speed and scale.
Furthermore, the partnership will incorporate computer-use models from OpenAI. These models will unlock a new category of IT automation, enabling interactions with legacy systems, including mainframes. This will result in enhanced efficiency across intricate IT landscapes.
