L’Oréal Debuts the Thinnest LED Face Mask in the World at CES 2026
At CES 2026 in Las Vegas, beauty behemoth L’Oréal revealed a game-changing LED beauty technology. The company introduced what it purports to be the world’s thinnest LED face mask. The innovative design of L’Oréal’s mask, made of flexible silicon, is a departure from the current rigid panel LED masks. It features special, separate sections specifically designed to target the under-eye area—a feature conspicuously absent in current LED masks.
The technology leverages red light and near-infrared wavelengths (630nm red light and 830nm near-infrared) to address issues like fine lines, uneven skin tone, and sagging. Guive Balooch, L’Oréal’s global vice president of augmented beauty and open innovation, asserts that these are the wavelength thresholds dermatologists recommend for effective results. For optimal benefits, the company suggests 10-minute daily sessions.
Both the LED Face Mask and L’Oréal’s Light Straight + Multi-styler hair tool earned the title of CES 2026 Innovation Award Honorees. The devices are slated for release in 2027, with a planned mid-range price point. The lightweight, flexible design of the mask is intended to integrate seamlessly into daily skincare routines.
