SwitchBot Introduces the Onero H1: An Affordable Household Robot at CES

At the 2026 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, smart home company SwitchBot unveiled the Onero H1, a wheeled humanoid robot designed to handle everyday household chores. This innovative robot can fold laundry, wash dishes, and even serve coffee. The company’s announcement marks a significant stride towards making affordable household robotics available to consumers. SwitchBot confirmed that the Onero H1 will be available for purchase later in 2026.

The Onero H1 is equipped with 22 degrees of freedom in its articulated arms, providing the flexibility needed to perform various domestic tasks. It uses a self-developed OmniSense Vision-Language-Action (VLA) model that enables it to learn and adapt across different household scenarios. This is achieved by recognizing object shapes, positions, and interaction states in real-time. The robot’s head, arms, hands, and midsection are embedded with multiple cameras that provide comprehensive visual data to guide its movements.

Unlike other humanoid robots showcased at CES, the Onero H1 uses a wheeled base similar to SwitchBot’s robot vacuums. This design prioritizes stability and cost-efficiency. During demonstrations, the robot successfully performed a series of tasks:

  1. Picking up individual clothing items
  2. Transporting them to a washing machine
  3. Opening the washing machine door
  4. Loading the items inside
  5. Closing the door

Although the process was slower than a human performing the same tasks, the robot’s efficiency and potential are undeniable. SwitchBot representatives have indicated that the robot will be priced at “less than $10,000,” making it one of the most accessible household robots announced at the show. The company emphasized that the Onero H1 is designed to work within SwitchBot’s existing smart home ecosystem, acting as an orchestrator for task-specific devices rather than replacing them entirely.
