Ricoh Strengthens Workplace Technology with Acquisition of NY-Based AV Firm

Japanese technology giant Ricoh made a strategic move to bolster its global workplace services portfolio with the acquisition of Presentation Products, Inc. (PPI). This leading New York-based audiovisual integrator with advanced managed services capabilities was acquired on January 7-8, 2026.

Established in 1994, PPI boasts a specialized team of 100 professionals in AV, engineering, design, and technology integration. They serve enterprise clients across finance, legal, media, and other high-value sectors. This acquisition broadens Ricoh’s digital services footprint in North America, building on the strengths of Cenero, Ricoh’s wholly-owned managed AV services provider.

“This acquisition is a milestone in our global strategy to invest resources in businesses with future growth potential, such as Workplace Experience,” stated Takahiro Irisa, Senior Corporate Officer and President of Ricoh’s global Digital Services Business Unit. The deal positions Ricoh to deliver integrated workplace solutions including collaboration platforms, AV integration, IT infrastructure, and managed services at scale across the evolving hybrid work landscape.

PPI employees will join Cenero within Ricoh’s growing digital services organization. This will provide them with access to expanded resources and career opportunities, while maintaining their established client relationships. Trafalgar Capital Partners facilitated the acquisition.

Ricoh continues its aggressive expansion in workplace technology with a series of acquisitions. These include:

  • Cenero
  • DataVision
  • Pure AV
  • AVC
  • Videocorp
  • Go2neXt

These acquisitions span multiple regions, further strengthening Ricoh’s position in the market.
