Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita: A Luxurious Rebirth After a $50M Transformation
The Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita has triumphantly reopened after an extensive seven-month, multi-million dollar transformation, completely redefining the luxury island escape. Nestled on Mauritius’s picturesque east coast, between the majestic Bambou Mountain and a serene turquoise lagoon, the resort unveiled its grand rebirth in late 2024.
General Manager Martin Dell emphasized that this transformation represents more than just a reopening—it’s a purposeful reconnection to the spirit of Mauritius. The renovation, masterfully executed by the acclaimed design firm 1508 London, features completely reimagined villas and private residences. Natural textures and colors inspired by the island’s beauty have been incorporated, creating a seamless blend of indoor and outdoor living experiences.
The crown jewel of the transformation is the reimagined Oseyan Spa—Mauritius’s only overwater spa. It now boasts a state-of-the-art Thermal Suite with a steam room, sauna, cold plunge, and experience showers. The resort has also expanded its culinary offerings with new venues:
- Angara: Indian tandoor
- Awase: Japanese omakase
- Radici: Rustic Italian cuisine
Sustainability remains central to the resort’s vision, with ongoing initiatives including seagrass nurseries, seahorse conservation, and mangrove honey production. Guests can also enjoy complimentary daily rounds at two championship golf courses designed by Ernie Els and Bernhard Langer.
