Cirrus Aircraft Unveils ‘Cirrus Next’: A Factory Trade-In Program for Aircraft Owners

Cirrus Aircraft has rolled out ‘Cirrus Next’, a novel manufacturer-backed trade-in and upgrade program. This program is tailored to enhance the aircraft ownership experience for existing SR Series and Vision Jet owners. Launched in December 2025, the initiative aims to address common issues such as managing dual aircraft simultaneously or dealing with gaps in aircraft availability during the upgrade process.

With Cirrus Next, aircraft undergo expert evaluations by Cirrus, leveraging current market data. This eliminates the need for showings or extended negotiations with brokers. Each traded aircraft is subject to a factory evaluation and refurbishment carried out by the manufacturer to ensure and uphold quality standards. The program also synchronizes timing to guarantee owners have uninterrupted access to an aircraft throughout the transition period.

The program is open to late-model SR Series aircraft (SR20, SR22, and SR22T) and all generations of the Cirrus Vision Jet, the only single-engine personal jet available in the market. According to Cirrus CEO Zean Nielsen, this initiative is meant to augment the company’s existing network of authorized pre-owned brokers, while eliminating obstacles and uncertainty commonly linked with aircraft transitions. The SR Series continues to be the top-selling high-performance single-engine piston aircraft line, with the global Cirrus fleet logging more than 19 million flight hours.
