Apple Intelligence Unveils Genmoji and Advanced Visual Features
Apple has recently launched a significant expansion of Apple Intelligence with iOS 18.2. This update introduces highly anticipated creative features that enhance the user experience on iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices. The December 11 update brings Genmoji, Image Playground, and enhanced Writing Tools to millions of Apple users worldwide.
The most notable feature, Genmoji, empowers users to create entirely custom emojis by simply typing a description. This feature can even be personalized using photos of friends and family members. Image Playground enables users to generate playful images in Animation, Illustration, or Sketch styles. Meanwhile, the Image Wand feature transforms rough sketches into polished images within the Notes app.
Apple Intelligence now supports localized English for Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, and the U.K. Additional language support is planned for April 2025. The expansion also includes seamless ChatGPT integration and enhanced visual intelligence features for iPhone 16 users with Camera Control.
“Apple Intelligence is the easy-to-use personal intelligence system that delivers helpful and relevant intelligence while taking an extraordinary step forward for privacy in AI,” the company stated in its announcement.
