Global Expansion of Apple Intelligence with New iPhone 16 Features
Apple is rapidly expanding Apple Intelligence capabilities as December 2024 brings significant updates to iPhone, iPad, and Mac users worldwide. The AI-powered features, initially limited to U.S. English, are now available in localized English across Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, and the U.K.
The December update introduces Visual Intelligence exclusively for iPhone 16 users, allowing them to instantly learn about objects and places using the Camera Control button. Users can translate text, identify restaurants, and access third-party tools like Google search and ChatGPT directly through camera interactions.
- Apple Intelligence now includes enhanced Writing Tools, notification summaries, a more capable Siri, and the Clean Up feature for photo editing.
- The company plans to add Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese, and other languages throughout 2025, marking Apple’s most aggressive AI rollout since the technology’s introduction.
