Dynon Avionics Unveils the Compact SV-XPNDR-263 Mode-S Transponder with Advanced ADS-B Out

Dynon Avionics has launched the SV-XPNDR-263, a compact TSO Mode-S transponder with ADS-B Out capability. This marks a significant leap in the field of general aviation avionics technology. The new unit, which is 14 percent lighter than its predecessors and weighs a mere 10.6 ounces, is also significantly smaller. This makes it perfect for installation in tight aircraft spaces.

The SV-XPNDR-263 is based on the TT23 line from Trig Avionics, which came under Dynon’s umbrella following their acquisition of the UK-based company. The transponder delivers a nominal power of 250 watts and includes TIS traffic reception for U.S. pilots. In addition, it boasts full 1090 Extended Squitter ADS-B Out capability. The design of the transponder allows for seamless integration with Dynon’s SkyView HDX and Advanced AF series avionics systems. It features the same mounting tray locations and electrical connections as earlier models, ensuring easy upgrade paths.

“This in-house expertise has enabled us to bring this next-generation product to market, providing customers with a superior, even more compact solution,” said Brad Thurow, President of Dynon. The SV-XPNDR-263 is priced at $2,678 and comes with a three-year warranty. It is currently available for experimental SkyView HDX systems.
