Emirates Expands Fleet with Additional $3.4B A350s Order at Dubai Airshow 2025
Emirates has announced a significant expansion of its fleet modernization program at the Dubai Airshow 2025, ordering eight additional Airbus A350-900 aircraft worth $3.4 billion at list prices. This latest order brings Emirates’ total commitment to 73 A350-900 units, with 13 already delivered.
The new aircraft, powered by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB84 engines, are expected to be delivered in 2031. Combined with the airline’s earlier announcement of 65 additional Boeing 777-9 orders this week, Emirates has committed to $41.4 billion worth of new aircraft at the airshow.
“The Emirates A350’s entry into service last November has given us welcome additional capacity and enabled us to introduce Emirates’ latest inflight products to more customers, including our popular Premium Economy seats,” said Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates.
The A350-900s will enhance the airline’s network flexibility as it continues to diversify from its traditional reliance on A380s and Boeing 777s. Emirates has already deployed its A350s to nine destinations including:
- Edinburgh
- Bahrain
- Mumbai
