Ray-Ban Smart Glasses by Meta Introduce Live AI Translation
Meta has unveiled firmware version 11 for its Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses, ushering in a new era of live AI translation and real-time video processing capabilities. This update facilitates effortless translation between English, Spanish, French, and Italian during live interactions, delivering audio output via the glasses’ speakers and text transcripts on associated smartphones.
The innovative “Live AI” feature fosters uninterrupted dialogue with Meta AI, eliminating the need to repeatedly utter “Hey Meta.” This enhancement allows for more organic interactions as users navigate their environment. Now, users can receive real-time support for activities such as cooking, gardening, or local exploration through the glasses’ integrated camera and AI processing.
Moreover, the update incorporates Shazam for music identification, further enhancing the user experience. The glasses maintain their robust market presence, emerging as the top-selling product in 60% of Ray-Ban outlets across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. As of now, these features are accessible to Early Access Program participants in the US and Canada.
