Marla Beck, founder of Bluemercury and CEO of BeautyHealth (NASDAQ: SKIN), has officially stepped down from her role as of September 30, 2025. Beck’s departure comes after leading the Hydrafacial parent company through a pivotal transformation period.

Beck is succeeded by Pedro Malha, a healthcare industry veteran boasting over 20 years of experience. Malha has most recently served as Worldwide Division President at Abbott Laboratories. This leadership transition coincides with BeautyHealth’s strong Q3 2025 results, reporting a revenue of $70.7 million and adjusted EBITDA of $8.9 million, surpassing expectations.

During Beck’s tenure, BeautyHealth achieved several key milestones:

  • Strengthened its innovation pipeline
  • Upgraded manufacturing operations
  • Returned to profitability
  • Maintained Hydrafacial’s position as the #2 most recognized facial treatment in the U.S.
  • Reached a significant milestone of 35,000+ active Hydrafacial devices installed worldwide across 80+ countries

In her departure statement, Beck expressed immense pride in the team’s accomplishments. ‘We have worked together to strengthen BeautyHealth’s foundation and future. With the right team and strategy in place, I believe now is the right time to welcome a new CEO,’ she said.
