Beauty & Wellness Industry Surpasses $200 Billion Amid Holistic Self-Care Revolution

The combined beauty and wellness market has reached a milestone, boasting a $200 billion valuation. This represents a 4% year-over-year increase as of June 2025, according to a comprehensive new report by Circana titled ‘The Art of Well-Being: Discovering Beauty in Wellness.’

The surge reflects a fundamental cultural shift, with nearly 70% of consumers across the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Australia now prioritizing self-care as a core component of their overall well-being. “The shift is driven by a growing global emphasis on holistic health,” said Larissa Jensen, senior vice president and global industry advisor at Circana.

Younger consumers, particularly Generation Z and Millennials, are leading this beauty-as-wellness movement. They are more likely to incorporate beauty into their wellness routines for emotional uplift through activities like applying skincare, makeup, fragrance, and hair styling.

The report reveals a notable trend in the wellness industry:

  • Supplements are having a particular moment, with performance supplements, magnesium supplements, and mood supplements all growing over 20% in the last year.
