McFarlane Aviation Expands Legacy Cessna Support with Acquisition of P. Ponk STCs
McFarlane Aviation has recently expanded its performance upgrade catalog for legacy Cessna aircraft models, including the 170, 180, 182, 185, and 206, by acquiring several supplemental type certificates (STCs) from P. Ponk Aviation. This acquisition follows the recent passing of P. Ponk co-founder Steven Knopp and ensures continued support for these proven aircraft modifications.
The acquired STCs include critical components such as:
- PSK1101 main landing gear kit
- PPA1201 inboard landing gear attach angle
- PPA1301-1/2 outboard gear box brackets
- PPA1401 rudder-elevator hinge bearing
McFarlane Aviation President, Mike Polanis, stated that “these proven designs align perfectly with McFarlane’s focus on supporting legacy airframes with high-quality, cost-effective solutions.”
With McFarlane’s catalog of more than 4,000 PMAs, these newly acquired STCs allow the company to provide both parts and installation services in-house at their facilities in Kansas, North Carolina, and Alaska. The parts are now available for purchase through the McFarlane Aviation website.
