Hungary Achieves C-390 Millennium Fleet Completion with Second Aircraft Delivery
Embraer marked the completion of Hungary’s second C-390 Millennium multi-mission aircraft delivery to the Hungarian Air Force at Kecskemét Air Base on November 21, 2025. This milestone makes Hungary the first global operator to receive all contracted units of this advanced tactical transport aircraft.
The Hungarian C-390 aircraft boasts unique configurations, including the world’s first modular Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the roll-on/roll-off type. This feature significantly enhances the aircraft’s capabilities for medical evacuation and humanitarian missions. Furthermore, the aircraft is versatile, capable of performing a variety of operations such as:
- Troop transport
- Cargo deployment
- Search and rescue
- Parachute operations
- Aerial refueling
Hungary’s Defense Minister, Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky, referred to the delivery as “a truly uplifting and joyful moment” and “an incredibly important event in the development of the Hungarian Air Force.” The first aircraft, delivered in 2024, has achieved a mission completion rate of over 99%, demonstrating the platform’s reliability and operational effectiveness.
