Emirates Invests $3.4B in Airbus A350 Aircraft at Dubai Airshow
Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, has announced orders for 8 additional Airbus A350-900 aircraft, valued at $3.4 billion, at the Dubai Airshow 2025. These aircraft, powered by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB84 engines, will bolster Emirates’ A350-900 fleet to a grand total of 73 units upon completion of all deliveries.
The new aircraft are slated for delivery during 2031, supplementing the 13 A350 aircraft already part of Emirates’ fleet. This substantial investment underscores the airline’s commitment to fleet modernization and expansion, in order to cater to the escalating international travel demand.
In a concurrent announcement, Emirates and Air Canada extended their strategic partnership until December 31, 2032. Since the inception of their partnership in 2022, the airlines have served over 550,000 customers across 56 codeshare routes connecting Canada, the U.S., Dubai, and key global destinations.
