Samsung’s Exynos 2600: A Groundbreaking 2nm Chip Set for 2026 Release
Samsung is making significant strides in the development of its next-generation Exynos 2600 chipset. This revolutionary chip, built on the cutting-edge 2nm process technology, is set to go into mass production by November 2025. The Exynos 2600 will power the Galaxy S26 series and is a bold move by Samsung to compete head-on with Apple’s silicon and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processors.
Leaked benchmark results reveal the Exynos 2600’s impressive performance. The chip scored 3,960 in single-core and 12,121 in multi-core Geekbench 6 tests. It boasts a 10-core CPU configuration with a primary core clocked at 3.92GHz. Furthermore, its enhanced thermal management reduces operating temperatures by up to 30% compared to previous generations, thanks to the innovative “Heat Pass Block” technology.
Internal testing by Samsung shows the chip’s NPU significantly outperforms its competitors. It is approximately six times faster than Apple’s A19 Pro and about 30% faster than Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. The Exynos 2600 also supports advanced imaging capabilities, including single 320-megapixel cameras and 8K HDR10+ video recording at 60fps.
However, the chip’s production faces yield challenges. The current 2nm process yields are around 30-40%, but Samsung aims to achieve 50% yields by the start of production.
