Airbus Sets New Record with 78 Deliveries in October, Strives to Meet 2025 Targets
Airbus set a new record for October delivery performance, handing over 78 aircraft to customers. This achievement brings the company’s 2025 total to 585 deliveries. However, the European manufacturer faces a significant challenge to reach its annual target of 820 aircraft deliveries, requiring an ambitious 235 deliveries in November and December alone.
The impressive October performance includes continued momentum in the A320neo family production, with Airbus aiming for 75 aircraft per month by 2027. In addition, the company secured 112 gross orders during the month, a substantial increase compared to just 10 orders in September. Despite supply chain challenges, including engine shortages, Airbus expects to achieve approximately €7 billion in adjusted EBIT and €4.5 billion in free cash flow for 2025.
Industry analysts note that while reaching the 820-aircraft goal would require unprecedented monthly deliveries exceeding 100 units, Airbus managed 207 deliveries in the final two months of 2024. This makes the target achievable with strong execution and support from new final assembly lines in the US and China.
