Air Care Alliance Announces Mark Hanson as New President Amidst Leadership Shift

The Air Care Alliance (ACA) has ushered in a new era with the appointment of Mark Hanson as its new president. This significant transition follows the passing of the esteemed leader, Jim Hesseman, earlier this year.

“Jim was both a mentor and a friend. I learned so much from him about the heart of public benefit flying and I recognize the big shoes I have to fill,” Hanson expressed, upon accepting the leadership mantle.

The ACA plays a pivotal role in coordinating volunteer pilots and aircraft owners who provide free transportation for medical and humanitarian missions. Under Hesseman’s stewardship, the organization saw a substantial expansion in its network of charitable flying organizations and volunteer pilots.

Hanson, with his extensive experience in aviation and nonprofit management, is poised to propel the ACA’s mission forward. The organization aims to connect those in need with volunteer pilots who generously donate their time, aircraft, and resources for charitable flights across the United States.
