Embraer Initiates Construction of $70M Aerospace Facility in Texas
Brazilian aerospace titan, Embraer, celebrated a groundbreaking ceremony on October 20 at Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport. The event marked the commencement of a new $70 million, 200,000-square-foot maintenance, repair, and overhaul facility. This state-of-the-art hangar is projected to open its doors in 2027.
The facility will primarily cater to Embraer’s renowned E-Jets that accommodate more than 100 passengers. Notable customers of these jets include industry leaders like American Airlines, Air Canada, and JetBlue. This expansion signifies a growth of over 50% in the company’s North Texas aircraft maintenance operations.
“This moment marks a new chapter in Embraer’s journey in the United States, a country where we’ve been for over 46 years,” expressed Francisco Gomes Neto, President and CEO of Embraer. Over its five decades of operation, the company has delivered over 9,000 aircraft to more than 100 countries.
